Fish for Heroes 2011
Fish for Heroes, in support for Help for Heroes, will be hosting a sponsored fishing match which will be contested by five teams of six anglers representing Four fishing forums namely Cast and Catch, World Sea Fishing, Sea Fishing Wales, Shore Angler, and the final team being made up of Army personnel. The venue will be Arnside and the target species will be Flounder.
Prizes will be awarded for total Bag Length (Team) Biggest Fish (Individual) and most sponsorship money raised (Team) (Prizes will be by donation and not taken from monies raised) 100% of all money raised will go to Help for Heroes.

Event Update
The past few weeks leading upto the event have been really hard work, Organising such an event single handed can be very stressfull indeed. But with the help and support I have had of members who are taking part in the event, It hasn't been as bad as I first thought it would be.
At the moment i am trying to put the final touches to the event to make sure everything run's exactly as planned on the day. I am still recieving emails of people who want to support and donate to our event, The latest additions being Lizzard Rigs and Gerry's Of Morceambe.
I am also currently waiting on a call from the guy's over at BFBS who want to have a chat live on radio about the FISH for HEROES event and what we are doing, This chat will be broadcasted to our armed forces accross the world.
I can also announce that we have broken the £3000 barrier and are well on course to hit our target of £5000.
I would like to wish all anglers the best of luck who are fishing the event, and even more than that i would like to thank everyone who has donated and supported this event. Without all of you this event wouldnt have gone ahead, So a big big thankyou to all
